§ 59-49. Heating permit requirements.

  • A. 
    No installation, enlargement or extension of any heating system, exclusive of electrical heating systems, in any building or structure in the Town of Carmel shall be commenced until a permit therefor has been obtained from the Plumbing Inspector of the Town of Carmel. Applications shall be on forms provided by the Plumbing Inspector and shall contain such plans, specifications, heat loss calculations and other information as the Plumbing Inspector may require.
    B. 
    Any permit so issued shall be valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance, but may be extended, for good cause shown to the Plumbing Inspector, for two consecutive periods not exceeding three months each. Every permit so issued shall be prominently displayed on the premises where such work is being done while work is in progress.
    C. 
    The fee for each permit shall be as set forth by resolution of the Town Board.
